Everything you need to know about Low Voltage Nation and Signal.

About Low Voltage Nation

What is Low Voltage Nation?

Low Voltage Nation is a platform built for low voltage contractors and technicians. We combine a job board, company directory, and construction project intelligence (Signal) into one place. Whether you're looking for work, hiring techs, or chasing new project leads, LVN is purpose-built for the low voltage trade.

Who is LVN for?

LVN serves low voltage professionals across all specialties — fire alarm, security, access control, structured cabling, audio/video, nurse call, and more. Our users include independent contractors, technicians looking for jobs, company owners looking to hire, and business development teams looking for project leads.

Is it free to use?

Yes. Creating an account, browsing jobs, viewing the company directory, and reading our content is completely free. Technicians can also create a free profile to be discoverable by employers. Signal construction intelligence requires a paid subscription.

Signal — Construction Intelligence

What is Signal?

Signal is our construction project intelligence engine. It tracks thousands of active construction permits, bids, and projects across the country and surfaces the ones relevant to low voltage contractors. Think of it as a lead generation tool — you see new commercial builds, renovations, and municipal projects before your competitors do.

Where does Signal data come from?

Signal aggregates data from public building permit portals, municipal bid boards, and project databases across multiple cities and counties. The data is refreshed regularly so you're always seeing current opportunities.

What cities does Signal cover?

Signal currently covers major metro areas across the US with new cities added regularly. You can browse the Signal map to see current coverage. If you need a specific city, let us know — we're actively expanding.

What kind of projects show up in Signal?

Commercial new construction, tenant improvements, renovations, municipal projects, healthcare, education, hospitality, retail buildouts, and more. Projects are categorized by type, value, and location. We focus on the kinds of projects that need low voltage subcontractors.

How is Signal different from other lead services?

Most construction lead services are built for general contractors or huge firms. Signal is specifically filtered for low voltage relevance. We also include key project details like general contractor info, project value, and permit data — the details you need to actually pursue the work.

Pricing & Membership

What does a subscription include?

A Signal subscription gives you full access to construction project data — unlimited searches, project details, general contractor information, interactive map view, and filtered results by city, project type, and value. It also includes priority job board features.

How much does it cost?

Signal starts at $97/month or $970/year (save ~17% annually). Visit the Signal page for current pricing and plan details.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard and you'll retain access through the end of your billing period.

Is the technician profile really free?

Yes, 100% free. Technicians can create a profile with their skills, certifications, and experience to be found by companies hiring on the platform. No credit card required.

Jobs & Companies

How do I find low voltage jobs?

Browse the job board and filter by location, specialty, and job type. You can also create a free technician profile so employers can find you directly.

How do I post a job?

Log in to your account, go to your dashboard, and create a new job listing. Fill in the details — location, pay range, required certifications, and job description — and publish. Your listing will be visible to technicians across the platform.
